Greetings Dolphin Families!
Early in my teaching career, I was proud to be a teacher here at APOPKA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, serving the community in that capacity for a number of years. Fast forward 10 years, and I'm grateful to serve as the PROUD PRINCIPAL of APOPKA ELEMENTARY where Dolphins are Diving Deeper! It is the commitment of administrative, teaching, and support staff to ensure that our scholars receive rigorous educational opportunities that lead our students to success.
I’d like to welcome all of our new families to Apopka Elementary! We appreciate you choosing to share your child with us. A special thank you to the families who are returning to our wonderful school. Thank you for helping us continue the legacy of greatness for our Apopka community!
We pride ourselves on providing a variety of professional learning opportunities for our staff with an ongoing emphasis on various forms of data. Intentional investments in building our instructional capacity ultimately transforms our scholars’ academic success. Scholars are empowered to work in collaborative settings and are expected to engage in deeper learning opportunities with peers.
Every grade level has been designed to meet the unique needs of all of our learners. There are enrichment and inclusive settings to support our scholars. We have several extracurricular/enrichment opportunities for our scholars to be a part of which includes, Gifted/Enrichment instruction, National Honor Society, Chorus, Drama, Art, Garden and AV clubs. Beanstack is going to be our motivational reading tool that will be used school-wide. Be sure to check out Facebook and Twitter for the Summer Reading Beanstack Challenges!
As we continue to Dive Deeper, I challenge each of you to Dive Deeper with us by attending our monthly SAC and PTA meetings, becoming an ADDitions Volunteer, and attending other school events throughout the year. Parent involvement is such a vital part of student success! Thank you in advance for your continued support and thank you for choosing OCPS!
